Natural Moonstone

Moonstone is a gem feldspar variety that is also known as adularia. Adularia is a variety of the natural potassium feldspar orthoclase.

Moonstone exhibits a natural iridescence (also known as adularescence), which is due to diffused light reflection from microscopic parallel intergrowths of albite and orthoclase.

We specialize in unheated and untreated real moonstone that was mined in the earth! The principle mining locations for gem grade moonstone today are in India and Africa.

Our genuine moonstone necklace designs are available with cabochon gemstones of natural moonstone set into unique handcrafted sterling silver pendants, as well as genuine moonstone beads that have been drilled and strung into necklaces. Each of the beads in our moonstone necklaces was hand ground and polished from natural moonstone rough that was mined in India.
