This unusual sphere was precision ground and polished in the U.S.A. It consists mainly of black biotite mica and dark brown chatoyant sillimanite. The rough material was mined in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

This unusual sphere was ground and polished in the U.S.A. It consists mainly of black biotite mica and dark brown chatoyant sillimanite, and it also has a purple-red almandine garnet measuring over 2.5" exposed on the sphere's surface. The rough material that this sphere was made from was mined near Itabira in Minas Gerais, Brazil. This is a great decorator or collector sphere.
