Completely clean andalusite gemstones of this size are extreamly rare. This fine quality gem is very clean even under ten times magnification. It is pleochroic with brownish-reddish-orange tones and olive green and yellowish tones in different areas depending on lighting and orientation. This rare quality andalusite gem was expertly faceted into this beautiful pear shape cut gem with superb brilliance.(GIA: Type II Gem, Clarity Grade: Eye-clean. This is an excelent "Colectors" stone or great for jewelry.

It is pleochroic with nearly equal amounts of reddish tones of orange and brown and yellow golden-green tones depending on lighting and orientation. It shows a preponderance of reddish tones in the face up position. This fine andalusite gem was nicely faceted at 13mm x 7mm x 6.1mm deep. It is completely eye clean in the face up possition. It does show minute inclusions under magnification. (GIA: Type II Gem, Eye-clean).
