This natural color Brazilian amethyst crystal specimen has medium-dark purple color at the crystal tip where there are a dark amethyst phantoms and a large gem-grade area. The recuperated tip is in very good condition. Below the natural color purple amethyst zone at the tip there are some small natural color golden-brown color zones, making this a true natural color ametrine crystal! This natural ametrine specimen was mined in Bolivia in 1998. It is exactly how it came out of the earth - unheated and untreated with all natural colors. It has a relatively thin flat shape with some sharp edges and is transparent throughout its length. The surfaces are mostly rough with a fresh break all along one side. The fresh break clearly shows the central amethyst color zone with strong purple natural hues and the citrine areas on each side with natural golden yellow color.
