These volcanic rock specimens are known as pumice. Pumice is actually a volcanic glass or obsidian of rhyolitic composition that formed from molten rock (magma) with a very high concentration of expanded gas bubbles.
Our pumice specimens have such a high concentration of these tiny gas cavities that they actually float on water! We have 5 sizes of pumice specimens available: from 2.5" to 3", 3" to 4", 4" to 5", 5" to 6", and 6" to 8". Please see below to order.
