It is semi-transparent to transparent. The prismatic faces and the terminations are in very good condition overall with vitreous luster. Naturally Terminated Tanzanite Crystal, 72.2 carats
	Item: tanm157 Genuine Tanzanite Crystal weighs 72.2 carats (14.44 grams) 1.5" long x 0.8"x 0.5" Mined in Tanzania Price: $577.60 This naturally terminated tanzanite crystal was mined in the Merelani Hills of Tanzania. It is mostly translucent to semi-transparent with small gem-grade areas at its tip. The prismatic faces are in mostly good conditon with some broken areas, and the terminations are in very good condition with vitreous luster. This naturally terminated tanzanite crystal was carefully heated and it has a very rich purple color in one direction and rich blue color perpendicular to the purple. Zoisite Crystal Specimen, 22.2 carats
	Item: tanm140 This natural zoisite crystal weighs 22.2 carats 37.5mm x 11mm x 9mm Mined in Afghanistan Price: $198.80 This natural color (Zoisite) crystal was stated by our supplier to have been mined in the Nangarhar Provence of Afghanistan. It is transparent throughout with nearly all being gem-grade. Its prismatic faces and the terminations have vitreous luster, are in very good condition, and the crystal is doubly terminated. This natural color tanzanite crystal has weak dichroism with a very light greenish blue gray color in one direction and a light pinkish gray when viewed from the front as shown in the photo at left which was taken under a mixture of incandescent and flourescent light. The morphology of this crystal is very nice.(A rare colectors item)
Zoisite Crystal Specimen, 31.28 carats
	Item: tanm141 This natural zoisite crystal weighs 31.28 carats 40mm x 15mm x 7.7mm Mined in Afghanistan Price: $257.60 This natural color (Zoisite) crystal was stated by our supplier to have been mined in the Nangarhar Provence of Afghanistan. It actually is two crystals that are inter-grown and they are also doubly terminated. They grade from semi transparent at the base to completely transparent gem-grade at their teminations. Its prismatic faces and the terminations have vitreous luster, are in very good condition. This natural color tanzanite crystal has weak dichroism with a very light greenish blue gray color in one direction and a light pinkish gray when viewed from the front as shown in the photo at left which was taken under a mixture of incandescent and flourescent light.(see a back-view photo). The morphology of this crystal is very nice.(A rare colectors item)

The prismatic faces and the terminations show vitrous luster and are in good condition overall with one side showing indentations where it grew aganst another crystal. It was mined in the Merelani Hills of Tanzania (Block "D"). This large tanzanite specimen is mostly translucent to semi-transparent. It has a beautiful intergrown crystal that has grown from its base that measures approximately 1-1/4"L x 5/8" x 3/8" tapering from mid-way to a chisel like termination. The upper portion of this is gem quality, mostly clean and very transparent. This is a stand alone specimen and the termination of the main crystal is capped with a layer of silvery black graphite, offering a nice contrast. The lower shoulder of its termination is capped with a thin layer of silvery black graphite, offering a nice contrast. It is mostly transparent with gem-grade areas. The prismatic faces and the terminations show vitrous luster and are in good condition overall with two sides showing striations. This mostly transparent lightly included tanzanite crystal would best be used as a specimen. The faces and the terminations are in good condition with good luster with the exception of a broken tip on an outer termination . The faces are partialy striated as well. The color is a medium tone of purplish blue.
